Studio 2: Sites and Systems
Taught by: Janette Kim & Yulia Grinkrug
The project is located in India Basin, San Francisco. Research focused on the condition and the environment around the site, including an emphasis on water systems. Spacial organization accomplished through intersecting spheres, resulting in micro spaces. The design harvests water from fog and repurposes it throughout the building. The bathhouse achieves desired atmospheric qualities through light, temperature and openness to nature.
